For Girls: Both natural & evening makeup photographs well.

For Guys: A fresh shave looks best! If you have facial hair, make sure you are trimmed!

Hair: Do not try a new hairstyle. Have your hair cut about a week before your session. If you have long hair please bring along a hairbrush!

Skin Problems: Your finished portraits will be retouched to eliminate blemishes, whiten teeth, soften lines, etc!!

Glasses: We can remove glare on normal glasses at no extra charge, but tinted lenses can not be lightened. If you have tinted lenses, consider asking your eye doctor for a pair of empty frames to wear during your session!

Tan Lines: Removing tan lines or sunburn will incur additional retouching charges.

Music: Bring along your iPod!

For Yearbook Head Shots:

Colors that photograph well are medium to dark tones of green, brown, rust, wine or blue... and always black!

Colors that are close to skin tones (beige, tan, peach, pale pink, white, and light yellow) tend to overpower the face and can make you look unusually pale.

Overly bright colors, stripes, plaids, and other bold prints tend to overwhelm the face.

Bare shoulders and chest or tops with "spaghetti" straps often make the subject look heavier and draw the eyes away from the face.

For Informal Portraits:

Girls: Choose a favorite sports outfit, prom dress, shorts, jeans, a cute hat, or any of your favorite outfits!!

Guys: Choose a casual top with jeans, sports uniform with equipment, school jacket, or a suit!

"White-on-White" : Please bring a white or pale-colored top.

Black & White: A black or very dark colored top will photograph the best!

Bring props...musical instruments, art supplies, theatrical garb, cheer leading or sports uniforms, band uniforms, stuffed animals, pets, friends... be creative!!
